You may be scared of walking into gyms or just simply don't have the first idea about what you're doing, and if this is the case then training with me is a great alternative. I have a friendly, welcoming approach and have access to personal and secluded spaces if home training isn't possible, where you won't be disturbed while you're training. I frequently have clients who are returning to training after a long spell away from exercise, or people who are simply complete beginners.

If you have an injury from a previous incident or have developed pain over the years such as a bad back, then don't let it prevent you from training. From playing football for many years and going through the rehabilitation process after injuries, I have gained crucial experience in helping clients recover, increase strength and mobility, and ease pain from their injuries. If full recovery is not possible, then I can provide alternative exercises that usually ensure you can still train with me. This means you can be safe in the knowledge that I have the experience and ability to ease you into training and guide you to your healthier lifestyle.

Many people struggle finding the time to train, with other commitments such as working full time or looking after children. This is where hiring me as your personal trainer is extremely useful, as I aim to be as flexible as I can working at a time and place that best suits you.

Still looking the same after months of working out? If changing your body shape is your aim, then you may be following the wrong programme if you haven’t noticed any progress for a while. It’s difficult to know when to increase weights, sets, repetitions and change exercise routines, but adapting these is what prevents progress coming to an end. That's why regularly updating your programme is key to maintaining improvement and with my knowledge and experience plus your hard work, you can be sure to see the benefits.

​Why Use a Personal Trainer?

Motivation is a massive factor in why many people don't exercise or stop altogether. For most people just knowing that you have a session booked with your trainer is enough to commit to the session. Also people who train alone often find an excuse to put it off until tomorrow or the day after (sound familiar?). I will be motivating you for every minute of the full hour we have together and keeping you on track to achieve your goals. This is also something people find very difficult to do on their own. Also, the knowledge that a personal trainer offers is fundamental in consistently reaching the agreed goals throughout your programme. Using a personal trainer will also limit the risk of injury, as you are shown the safe technique to complete each exercise and are constantly monitored during the session.

Where Do I Train?

Wherever is most convenient for you! I train clients in their own home, whether that's in a room with some space, an outhouse or garden, as well as outdoors/in the park, and even a clients place of work. I have all the equipment for mobile training and only require a relatively small space to achieve a great workout.

What Does the Consultation Involve?

​The consultation will analyse exactly what your fitness goals are, what your exercise history is, what you like and dislike about exercising, and much more. I will measure key physical statistics either in the first couple of sessions or in your consultation. Measurements include resting heart rate, blood pressure, body fat percentage, tape measurements and height & weight. This process may sound a little daunting but they really are quite simple and un-intrusive, and you may opt out should you not feel completely comfortable with this. These results will allow me to monitor progress at certain times throughout your programme and adapt any aspect of training or nutrition that may be required.

What Are Block Sessions and Special Packages?

Block sessions and Special Packages are bookings that offer a saving for people who know they will be training with me for a longer period of time. These sessions are for 1 to 1 and Pairs & Small Groups and you pay the full amount upfront to me at the discounted price shown under the 'Prices' section prior to your first session, or in set instalments when choosing the Special Packages option. Any payments made are non-refundable once paid for.

 

If I Take a Break During one of the Special Packages Options, Will I Lose Any Sessions?

​No you won't. If you have something planned during our training period such as a holiday, then we will just pick back up from where we left off once you return. These packages are best completed in the time frame they have been designed for, but are also still effective with a short

break in between if required.

 

Does It Matter If I Have Never Been to the Gym Before or Don't Exercise?

No! If you don't have any experience of going to the gym or exercising at all then don't worry. It does help if you have at least some experience so that you have an idea of what training is about, but if not, then I'll just take a bit more time explaining the exercise techniques and we'll take it easier to begin with.

How Quickly Am I Likely To See Results?

The first thing to realise is your fitness goals, targets etc. will not be achieved overnight. When you start training with me it must be a lifestyle change you are willing to undertake. Making small changes that will ultimately see a very big change to your life. You can obviously not eat fast food 3 times a week and expect to lose weight simply by training with me! However, from my experience my clients start noticing their fitness levels increase and body shape change roughly after 2 weeks when training 3-4 times a week with me, and after 3-4 weeks when training twice a week with me. Be aware that this is based on my clients following my programmes accurately, along with being strict with their nutrition.

Can I Buy Sessions For Someone Else?

Yes you can. If you are looking to buy some sessions, maybe as a gift for someone, then all you have to do is get in touch with me and we can make the arrangements for what you want from there.

Will My Information Be Kept Confidential?

I take confidentiality seriously, and I will not disclose any information on your sessions with me or your personal details on my website or other media without your full permission, even if your training with me has come to an end.​
